Agile Mind Intuitive Drawing Workshop

This workshop is for students of all ages and levels, and can also be used as a team building experience for corporate and professional groups. During the workshop, we use pencils, charcoal, crayon, scissors, and more to tap into our agile minds. Guided by words, phrases, poems, and prose drawn from multicultural sources, this class unfolds in a series of short prompted drawing sessions that encourage intuitive and improvisational mark making.

Experimental Chinese Ink painting and Calligraphy

In addition to their meaning, Chinese characters possess aesthetic qualities and appeal to the psyche. As such, Chinese calligraphy and painting materials are often a source of inspiration to artists in both the East and West. In my class, students will learn traditional Chinese calligraphy and then apply contemporary approaches and mixed media to energize the medium and search for a personal voice in the practice.
